A warehouse mezzanine is a lifted platform installed between the floor and the ceiling — vaguely similar to that of a large theater. For more substantial warehouses, multiple levels of mezzanines are implemented to take advantage of every inch of the building. With this technology, you can expand the space that already exists inside your facility and, with it, your efficiency and overall footprint.
The opposite of a freestanding structure, these mezzanines are incorporated into a building’s original structure. As these are permanent mezzanines, they typically have concrete floors and can handle extreme load weights.
These storage structures don’t need the structural columns the other systems utilize. They are supported by pallet rack uprights or bin shelving systems and are used for their affordability and ease of installation.
A simple fixture that typically implements thin, steel support columns.
These combine the features of both freestanding and catwalk systems and will be installed over your existing shelving or workspace areas.
Often used to give personnel easy access to materials handling equipment.
1. Mezzanines ensure employee satisfaction and safety. With the increased height, employees now have a perfect vantage point to identify moving parts within the warehouse.
2. Several valuable items can be integrated into an industrial mezzanine, such as a modular office or various conveyors that can efficiently move items throughout the space. Some companies even use them as dedicated break areas!
