PEWAUKEE PUBLIC LIBRARY
Customer Success Story

CUSTOMIZED LIBRARY SHELVING
When the Pewaukee Public Library in Pewaukee, WIS. built a new 2-story, 28,000 square foot facility, Axiom was brought on to optimize the library’s floor plan and design the space and storage for the library’s media collection.
Plan of Action
Axiom worked closely with a contracted architectural firm to design a clean and open facility that offered room for expansion, yet created an inviting atmosphere. They provided space efficient periodical displays, computer work stations, and media storage cabinets for DVDs tapes and CDs, as well as cantilever shelving with customized top and end panels for the large book inventory. Special lighting was also installed on the shelving to illuminate the books and make the titles easier to read. After the shelving and storage systems were installed, more than 50,000 books and periodicals from the old location were relocated to the new facility. With an open floor plan, space efficient storage, customized shelving and special lighting, the new Pewaukee Public Library is able to offer its patrons a warm, comfortable and user-friendly environment to relax and enjoy its services.
